About this Cook
One of seven children. Native American ancestry. Vietnam veteran. Lived overseas over 20 years. Travel a great deal. Love trying foods of different cultures.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking with real and simple ingrediences. I love the process, I find it relazing. I love the creative side of cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Some of the more "southern" foods. Although now I have made them lighter and not so unhealthy. I still make my Mom's potatoe salad and chicken and pastry.
My cooking triumphs
I once did a peking duck with all the fixings for my husband's birthday. It took two days. Never again, well maybe never.
My cooking tragedies
Making bread that didn't rise.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto
This mushroom risotto is well worth the time that you need to prepare. So...creamy. I used baby portabella instead. You can make it the main dish it's that good. This one is a keeper.

Lebkuchen VI
I was station in Germany and grew to love their cookies. This recipe was great and lets revisit the country each time I eat a cookie.
