Super Easy Chocolate Cupcakes

Some of the best tasting homemade cupcakes I've ever made. I read the reviews and came to a conclusion. Instead of instant coffee powder and water I just used leftover coffee. I also used butter instead of shortening, and the cupcakes were fine. I followed the whole recipe (except for the suggested changes) to a "T" and the cupcakes came out perfectly. I will definitely make them again.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

It was a terrific recipe, I used this icing on my tye-dye cupcakes. It was a hit, however I think next time I won't use salt. The vanilla was not too much, it was actually just enough. I probably mixed the whipping cream too much, so it was a little harder to fold in the cream cheese mixture. Overall it was a great recipe and I will use it again.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies I

These cookies were ABSOLUTELY delicious!! I made these for a house of five people, and we ate them all up in just one night. I ended up just buying the whole macadamias and crushed them with a spatula. I also used the white chocolate bars instead of the chips, because the store I went to didn't have the chips available. The cookies had somewhat of a cake-like constistancy, which I didn't mind, but other may not like so much. Overall these cookies were great!

Lemon Basil Pesto Flat Iron Steak

This steak was PHENOMENAL!! For Mother's Day dinner my father and I made this for my stepmom. It was absolutely delicious! The pesto was fresh and very tasty, it added a little kick to the steak without compromising the flavor. We didn't change one thing for this steak, we followed the recipe exactly and the finished product was terrific. I recommend this to any cook, because it was easy for me to make and I am definitely just an amateur chef.

Vanilla Crepes

The crepes were delicious, however the flour started clumping after I put it in the mixing bowl. I stirred and stirred but couldn't seem to blend it in. However, this recipe was terrific and I will make it again.

Cream Puffs

This recipe was exactly what I was looking for. Luckily, before I started baking I read the comment section to find some tips. The only thing I had to do was make sure all the steam came out of the puffs by poking a small hole in every one. After I let all the steam release from the puffs, I used a piping tool I got from Target. I just looked in the cooking section and found this cylindrical object with a needle-like point to insert the cream into the puffs with. It was perfect! The puffs were delicious and light and the cream was superb. Honestly, I ate too many but my stomach was sore of those delicious bite sized drops of heaven. Needless to say, the recipe was terrific even for the most amateur chef (me).

Blackberry Pie I

This pie was the best pie I have ever eaten!! I was very bored one day and I looked for blackberry pie recipes on the internet. I was immediately inspired by this recipe, which was quite easy to make. I instead of doing a plain crust did a lattice crust that made it look even more gorgeous. The crust came out very flaky and crisp which I loved, and the berries were perfect. I plan on making this recipe for Christmas dessert. The only thing I'll do differently is probably put a bit more sugar. I will hand whip whipping cream as a topping. This pie is divine and so easy! I completely recommend it!! I'm only 11 and I finished it very quickly!! Sincerily, Shannon G.
