I'm 24 and have been cooking for some years but only really basic home fare. In 2007 I was put on an extrememly restricted diet by my doctor and was forced to experiment a lot. Since then I'm back to eating normally but have taken a liking to gourmet cuisine and experimental cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Asian food of just about any kind and pasta dishes. I absolutely love game meats like duck and kangaroo, but am still mastering the cooking of these. I'm not fond of beef and pork outside of mince and bacon.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spaghetti bologanise, Mum's super awesome golden syrup dumplings and Dad's chilli... as in chilli powder, chilli flakes, whole chillis... in EVERYTHING!
My cooking triumphs
Christmas dinner (As in yesterday) was the first time I ever cooked duck... and it was fanatstic.
My cooking tragedies
Burning water... need I say more. I also can't cook roasts.
