Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares
These were a wet, sticky mess. I followed the recipe but had to make the self rising flour substitute. Even though I floured my hands and the counter the dough stuck everywhere. I had at least two biscuits worth of dough on my hands that I could not get into the pan. No way I could "cut" them as it was all I could do to transfer the dough from my hands to the pan. Also, the amount of butter called for overwhelming -- the biscuits baked in a sea of butter. In the end, they tasted OK but so much dough was wasted in the making. The recipes claims 15 servings, I got 5 biscuits out of it.

Luscious Lemon Cake
It was excellent. I definitely prefer lemon cake recipes which use the lemon pudding instead of lemon jello. The lemon jello gives it a rubbery texture. Also, I did not cook the glaze -- just mixed the powdered sugar with the lemon juice. It helps to remove the lumps if you sift the powdered sugar first. I baked in a large (10 x 12) pyrex pan and poured glaze over top. Following advice of others, I poked holes in the top before pouring on the glaze. Tasted excellent!

Sloppy Joes II
Excellent! I used ground turkey meat instead of ground beef b/c that is what I had on hand. Also, used 2 cloves of garlic instead of garlic powder and a tsp of dry mustard powder and skipped the green bell peppers (no fans in this house). Really good. Agree that 20 min. simmer was enough. Add water/ketchup if you want it a little moister.
