I love to experiment with sauces! I also love to cook breads and pastry. I am developing a real love for preparing meats and seafood.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is very scandinavian so I love to cook norwegian dishes like homeade lefse and rice pudding.
My cooking triumphs
I recently "brined" a pork roast for 4 days and then roasted it. It was a traditional french recipe and the family loved it! All good food really does take time.
My cooking tragedies
Along with the above pork roast, I attempted to make a french recipe for carmelized onions using a gastrique. The smell was SOOOOO horrific that no one could even come into the kitchen-for like 2 days!!! They were a disaster!!
