i enjoy reading, kintting, and crocheting. as i've gotten older i find i like cooking the is quick and easy. i enjoy baking cakes, cookies, breads. the problem is i also like to eat them. but i must admit the best thing is inventing a new recipe and having others eat and praise it. my family is from the south. at christmas we had sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin. biscuits insteads of toast. i can't stand the biscuits that come in a can. having someone ask for the recipe of something i made. i use to made a cherry flavored cake by adding a bit of cherry juice to an angel food cake mix. one day i added too much to it, and the cake didn't rise. the cake was flat and dense, but i was in time bind. so i frosted them with cherry icing, cut them small, and called them cherry brownies. would you believe they were a hit. i got asked for the recipe.
