World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Loved the sauce! It almost didn't make it into the lasagna. But....it did, and it was incredible! Would definitely make this recipe again! Even the neighbors came over to try this after they smelled it cooking. I did not boil the noodles as the recipe called for, instead I just baked them into the lasagna and it came out perfect!

Caramel Apple Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
This recipe was a huge hit and spectacular. I did make a small adjustment by adding about half a bag of Heath "Bits o Brickle" right before serving. I found this in the same area as chocolate chips in the baking aisle and it made a big defference. AWESOME!

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
WOW! This recipe was pretty good and was gone by the end of breakfast. I used the 10 eggs and put my convection oven up to the 350 for 25 minutes, I then lowered the temp to 320 and stood watch until the top began to brown, roughly about 6 minutes. Being an avid cheese lover, I certainly couldn't cut the cheese down, I probably added more, but used swiss cheese and cheddar. I'm sure I used about 5 - 6 cups of pure cheesy goodness. I didn't think it was going to turn out well based on what it looked like when it went into the oven, but it came out awesome! everyone loved it on Easter morning.

Cinnamon Rice with Apples

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
I always rate the recipes by how much is left after dinner. Not a whole lot was left. Being a novice baker, I may have forgot that adding sugar into rice may make it burn.....while I didn't burn it.....we'll just say it browned on the bottom. Top was good.

The sauce went over very well. I marinated the pork chops for about an hour before grilling.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
I really liked this recipe. Made it for a dinner party and was pretty easy to make. I did bake it after I added the cream sauce for about 20 minuted at 350. Instead of toothpicks, I tied it up. Future use of this recipe for me will include more swiss cheese, more ham, and more leftovers.

Cannoli

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
Great recipe, excellent taste! I didn't have the runny issue that some of the others had when making....Mine came out perfect. Word of advice, which I forgot...Don't fill the shells with the cream until you are ready to serve. I tried to make these ahead of time, put the mixture in a ziploc bag, so I could cut the corner and pipe it in but it looked to good, so I filled the shells. Made the shells a bit moist. Oh, and one other thing....I had to improvise for the shells, my market didn't have even the frozen shells, so I used the Sugar cones for ice cream in place of the cannoli shells. I know the real italians out there would probably run me out of town, but I think I liked them better, It filled the whole shell and was such a subtle difference in taste. Great Recipe.

Italian Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I loved this cookie. It was really easy to make, especially for a novice like myself. It looks great! For chocolate lovers, it is definately the cookie to gravitate towards on the plate. I think the taste is very good...but I LOVE chocolate. It was intimidating on the cookie plate for others and usually wasn't gobbled up as quickly as some of the other treats. All in All, It was a definate keeper recipe for me. Thanks!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
Let me begin by saying, I wasn't expecting much of this cookie recipe. I always hated the normal version with the kisses becauses it is just soooo dry. This cookie was perfectly moist, incredible peanut buttery goodness and so easy to make. I made several other cookies for the holidays, and this one seemed to go the fastest.
