Strawberry Spinach Salad I

FANTASTIC! Even my picky husband and a guest who didn't care for spinach raved about it. FYI, could use on a romaine salad. However, the spinach did get soggy quickly...the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. May have sat too long before I served it.

Got RAVE reviews from my guests...Made the recipe as listed, but didn't have fresh basil so I used a 1 Tbsp of dried basil. Wonderful recipe!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

I followed the recipe exactly except the cooking time. Everyone's oven cooks a little different, just keep an eye on your cupcakes- I cooked mine for 17 minutes and when I checked them, they were done. They were not dry at all, and my husband, the true critic, thought they were delicious.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Very Cream Cheesey frosting...but it absolutely was the perfect topping for the red velvet cupcakes (also from this site) I made. I had compliments from all! A definite keeper!

Very good turkey burgers - but definitely add the breadcrumbs (I used 1/4 cup, could have done a tad more). They were moist and very flavorful!

So very good!!! It was a little thin, I used the 2 tbsp of milk, and had to add some extra powdered suger to thicken it up. But it was delicious and perfect on a chocolate cake!

This cake was fantastic. I wanted a chocolate cake for my birthday, and made this one with chocolate frosting and it was everything a birthday cake should be! Chocolate heaven!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Very good soup, very similar to a local mexican restaurant. I did use less chicken breasts, 5, and it still had quite a bit of chicken. Look forward to my next bowl of it!

Blueberry Muffins II

Very good muffins...mine were done in 25 min. and stood for only 10 because I couldn't hold my family off any longer. Made the recipe as is except for adding 1/4 cup applesauce as someone suggested. Great way to use plentiful blueberries in the summer!

Honey Oat Beer Bread

I have had better beer breads before. I was excited about the oats and the honey and brown sugar, thought it would be sweeter. I see now that one should definitely add additional brown sugar and honey for more of a flavor. And I used regular light beer, but still found it a little bitter. Will use other beer bread recipies in the future. Sorry!

OMG! You really can do anything with this soup and it is wonderful! Fantastic recipe! Do allow some extra time than what the recipe calls for when thickening.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Great way to prepare chicken for recipies that call for "cooked" chicken. Mine didn't have a lot of flavor, and I followed others' advice regarding adding garlic to cavity, rubbing some rosemary and olive oil under the skin of the breasts, etc. I have another recipe I will be more prone to use in the future...

Salisbury Steak

Great...took others' advice, added onions and cream of mushroom soup, baked in oven after browning the patties. Even my 20 month old liked it!!! Will be in the regular rotation!
