BUSH'S® White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
My mom made this chili last week and I had a bowl of it left over, it was so good!!!! I plan on making this for my husband this week. The only change my mom made was she added chili powder.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
This is really good! I made the recipe almost exactly, the only change was that I added about 1/2 of ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning. I have trouble cooking things on the stove so I assembled the quesadillas, with the outside of the tortillas buttered, and broiled them in the oven for about 5 minutes each side. This is a very easy recipe!

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
This is the best tortilla soup! I like tomato based chicken tortilla soups without a lot of extras in it. I left out the water and used 2 whole cans of chicken broth. I also left out the corn. This soup is great!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
This is really good! I cooked the pork in a can of beef broth for about 5 hours on low. I took the pork out and shredded it with a fork. I drained the broth and then added the pork back to the crockpot with a full bottle of bbq sauce (I used Stubbs). I continued to cook on low until we were ready to eat.

Mexican Sour Cream Rice

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
This was really good. My husband loves cilantro so he really liked the recipe. 1 cup of sour cream and cheese is plenty. I added extra cheese and it was a little much. Follow exactly as written and it will be great!

Linda's Lasagna

This was my first time to make lasagna and it turned out perfect! I used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese but that was the only change I made. This is a great recipe!

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
This is a great recipe! I used 3/4 cup of sour cream instead of mayo and taco seasoning instead of chili powder. I also layered refried beans after the meat mixture. We ate the whole casserole tonight!

Almond-Crusted Tilapia

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
I love tilapia, but this recipe was not that good. It did not have any flavor. I followed the recipe as is and was not impressed. If you are making tilapia I would check out the Broiled Tilapia Parmesan recipe on this website. It is much better!

Chocolate Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
This is the best cake ever! The only place I've ever been able to get a Texas Chocolate Cake is in West Texas at a Czech bakery. Now I can make it myself. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe! The only changes I made were for the frosting. I heated butter, cocoa, and milk on stove and then beat with powdered sugar and vanilla. Also, make sure to add the icing while the cake is still hot. As it cools the icing becomes more fudge like.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
This recipe was great! It was my first time to make pot roast and it turned out perfectly. I added 1 regular can cream of mushroom and 1 can cream of mushroom with roasted garlic. I also used 1 cup of beef broth instead of water. I mixed soups, broth, and onion mix all together and dumped them over the roast. It was wonderful!

Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Too much fajita seasoning! You are better off using taco seasoning or creating your own seasoning. I added fajita seasoning and ended up throwing the chicken away beacuse it was way too salty. I made more chicken adding garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. I added salsa and cheese to the mixture before baking the quesadillas. I left out the peppers and bacon bits. My husband loved them!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
The sauce was great! I doubled the sauce by using 1/4 cup butter and 1 cup hot suace. It was just spicy enough. I had trouble getting the coating on the wings crunchy. I fried them on the stove with enough oil to cover the wings and they got very soggy. I may try baking them next time. Great wings!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

I made the sauce exactly as listed and couldn't even stand the smell. I tasted it and did not care for it at all! I'm glad I tried it before putting it on my chicken. I will not be making this again!

I made these for a party and everyone loved them. They were a little messy but tasted great! After adding ingredients and rolling up, refrigerate before slicing. This helps the rolls stay together!

This recipe was ok. I make a recipe almost exactly like this, but instead of stuffing I put croutons on top. I probably won't make this again.

Great recipe, my husband loved it! Changes I made: instead of enchilada sauce I used taco sauce, i replaced the tomato soup in the sauce with 1/2 cup of salsa, and I baked the burritos at 350 for 15 min. to heat before serving. Thanks for the recipe!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
Good easy recipe! I made it exactly as is and it was great. Make sure the chicken is comepletly dry before placing it in the baking dish. I rinsed mine and I think it was still wet when I put in the oven because I ended up with about an inch of liquid in the bottom of the dish. I sopped it up with some paper towel, but it did not effect the outcome of the chicken.

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
Maybe its just me, but I could not get these pork chops to cook. I browned them on the stove for about 10 minutes before adding them to the pan and putting the sauce on top. I then cooked them for over an hour at the correct temperature and they still were not done. By this time the sauce had become lumpy and looked unappetizing. I finally threw them out and sent my hubby out to pick something up for dinner. This is the second time I have had a problem with pork chops. I will no longer be making pork chops.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
This recipes was good. Make sure that after you put the topping on you only broil the fish for 2 minutes. I broiled the fish for 3 minutes and the topping was black. It still tasted good. Next time I will follow the directions better. I also added Old Bay seasoning to the fish before putting the topping on.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I usually follow recipes as they are listed without making any changes. However, after mixing all the ingredients together the meat sauce was way too sweet. I had to make some changes to this recipe. After mixing teogether what is listed I also added the following: 1/4 of a yellow onion chopped, 1/2 tsp. minced garlic, 3-4 drops of Lousiana Hot Sauce, and shredded cheese (a sprinkle over the top). The meat mixture tasted much better after this. I simmered it for about 15 minutes and it was was ready to eat. My hubby really enjoyed this!
