About this Cook
I love to cook, it is a stress reliever for me. I love the smell of cooking in the house, assuming it's all going well LOL! I love to cook for my family and I am trying to share my love of cooking with my daughter and son. My favorite summer meal is my hubby's BBQ burgers.I make salads and sides to compliment- it makes every weekend an adventure in the kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes, pasta, salads
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas Cookies and using seasonal fruits and vegies with old family recipes.
My cooking triumphs
Perfected potato salad and macaroni salad from old family recipes that needed re-doing!
My cooking tragedies
How about a half cooked turkey on Thanksgiving with the entire family here? OMG what a horrific day! I forgot the garlic in the Christmas Day lasagna once- how? I have no idea, but it was still ok...

Banana Banana Bread
We love banana bread and this recipe did not disappoint! Very dense bread and pretty to serve. I added a bit of cinnamon and some walnuts but it would have been tasty as written. I made this the night before for Saturday breakfast. **Banana bread is better when it rests for a few hours after baking.
