well i am a married mother of 4 children ranging in ages from 10 to 2 years. my children and husband share in my love of cooking and baking and always love when i find new recipies to try out on them. they are always willing to try anything i cook and rarely ever do they tell me that they don't like it. i also love playing outside with the kids when we have some down time and cuddling on the couch with my husband at night when the kids are in bed to watch our t.v. shows for the week.
My favorite things to cook
i love to cook just about anything that i find interesting or that is family friendly. also things that are quick and easy for those rushed days.
My favorite family cooking traditions
our traditions usually involve my sister who has 2 boys of her own. every birthday for the kids her and i get together and make their cakes. it is so much more fun, less expensive and the kids love the fact that we did it ourselves and put the time and love into their special day. at halloween we do caramel apples from scratch and at christmas we do gingerbread houses and cookies. we let the kids do all the fun stuff with them, we just do the grunt work. seeing how much fun they have is all the thanks we need.
My cooking triumphs
i put time and hard work into all my cooking and baking so i triumph at almost everything i cook or bake. if it doesn't come out the way i like it by the recipe i have, i alter to what the opinions of my family and myself are.
My cooking tragedies
i would have to say the only tragedy i have in the kitchen are homemade biscuits. i can never get them to come out right.
