Aussie Chicken

This is the BEST! I made it for my family 'reunion' week we spent at the beach...my brothers ate every last bite, and sopped up every last drip of sauce. It's that's good. The only change I make is that I brown the chicken in some of the bacon grease, rather than use oil. I just don't see the point in washing the pan out just to get it greasy again. I follow everything else exactly though. Fantastic!

Some things I wanted to mention: Firstly there is no salt in the recipe, so you'll probably need to add some if you use salt in your cooking. I do, but the older people in my family don't want it in there. Also, I say 6 servings, because you can't stop eating these things, they're so good. But really, it makes about 8 medium sized sandwiches (or 6 really big ones!)

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

I used bread crumbs instead of saltines, just because I didn't have any. The texture was fine, but it wasn't very flavorful, and it was very thick and dense. I like my meatloaf a little lighter. Also, my family decided that we don't like cooked ketchup. Every time I try to make something with a ketchup topping, none of us like it. So I've vowed never to try that aspect again. It wasn't a terrible recipe, it just wasn't our favorite. But then again, we don't have a favorite meatloaf....so maybe it's just us :)

Sausage Balls

Great recipe! I followed the instructions exactly, however it was missing one piece of information. THe first time I made these, I prepared the bisquit mix, like made it wet. The recipe came out terrible. But it was my fault, because you're suposed to add the mix dry :) heh. They came out great the second time! I serve them with ranch dressing that has a little horseradish and a little paprika mixed in. Yum!

Salisbury Steak

Awesome recipe! The only change I made was that, like someone suggested, I doubled the gravy and added a packet of Lipton Onion soup mix to the gravy mixture. My husband and daughter loved it.

Best Egg Rolls

these are FANTASTIC! I say it in all caps, because I cannot stress how wonderful these egg rolls are. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I use my deep-fryer to cook them...and they are just so darn good. Everyone who tries them raves. Excellent recipe.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

This was a great recipe. The only problem I had was that it made waaay too much chocolate for 1 lb of strawberries. I ended up making chocolate-toffee candies and chocolate covered pretzles too..which were both great :)

Monkey Bread I

I used a bundt pan to make this with my daughter. We used real butter, not marg. as the recipe calls for..and I skipped the nuts and raisins (cause I'm allergic to nuts, and i hate raisins, although my daughter loves them). monkey bread is awesome.

Pizza Dough I

I didn't care for this recipe. The dough was very dry, and broke a lot when I put it in my pizza pan, then it came out very dry and tasteless from the oven. It could have been my fault, who knows...

Dark Chocolate Cake I

This cake came out amazing. It was so chocolatey, and the top was a little fudgy...just was I was looking for! I would make it into a loaf style, and not even top it with frosting it was so good. Yum yum! :)

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Let me point out, I did follow this recipe, and I didn't like it the way it was to begin with. Changing it made it worse, but it was pretty bad to start off. Here's the original review: This was terrible. It was disgustingly sweet. I tried to cut the sweetness by adding the unsweetened chocolate squares like someone else said, then by adding more co-co powder and more butter. That just ended up making a greasy frosting.

Chicken Lo Mein

I've made this a few times, adding the oyster sauce as other people suggested..and it comes out AMAZING every time.I don't always add mushrooms..usually I pre-cook broccoli, and add that instead.
