I'm a mom, and I work part time and I'm going back to school. I love to cook, but my family can't eat dairy, so it's hard for me to cook some of my favorite dishes.
My favorite things to cook
Any chicken dish, veggie soup, lately Asian and Mexican dishes, pasta sauces, fish (i do live in new england after all!), cakes and cookies (when I get in the mood).
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a few things that we make every holiday, like Easter is always Polish cuisine, and xmas we always make date squares, fudge, and peanutbutter balls.
My cooking triumphs
I made french onion soup for the first time a few weeks ago..it came out amazing.
My cooking tragedies
One time I made a HUGE pot of red clam chowder..and I added way too much red pepper flakes..it was so spicy it made me choke. I had to throw the whole pot away. It was a nightmare..I cried.
Also, I recently tried to make Tres Leche cake..It came out so bad, it actually made me sick. I threw up all night.
