Addie 'helping' mom cook
About this Cook
I'm a mom, and I work part time and I'm going back to school. I love to cook, but my family can't eat dairy, so it's hard for me to cook some of my favorite dishes.
My favorite things to cook
Any chicken dish, veggie soup, lately Asian and Mexican dishes, pasta sauces, fish (i do live in new england after all!), cakes and cookies (when I get in the mood).
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a few things that we make every holiday, like Easter is always Polish cuisine, and xmas we always make date squares, fudge, and peanutbutter balls.
My cooking triumphs
I made french onion soup for the first time a few weeks ago..it came out amazing.
My cooking tragedies
One time I made a HUGE pot of red clam chowder..and I added way too much red pepper flakes..it was so spicy it made me choke. I had to throw the whole pot away. It was a nightmare..I cried. Also, I recently tried to make Tres Leche cake..It came out so bad, it actually made me sick. I threw up all night.

Strawberry Pie II
Best Strawberry Pie recipe I've used! I don't change anything....

Aussie Chicken
This is the BEST! I made it for my family 'reunion' week we spent at the beach...my brothers ate every last bite, and sopped up every last drip of sauce. It's that's good. The only change I make is that I brown the chicken in some of the bacon grease, rather than use oil. I just don't see the point in washing the pan out just to get it greasy again. I follow everything else exactly though. Fantastic!

Dynamites
Some things I wanted to mention: Firstly there is no salt in the recipe, so you'll probably need to add some if you use salt in your cooking. I do, but the older people in my family don't want it in there. Also, I say 6 servings, because you can't stop eating these things, they're so good. But really, it makes about 8 medium sized sandwiches (or 6 really big ones!)
