I couldn't give this 5 stars only because it was much sweeter than I would like. I even cut the sugar down to 2 tablespoons. There is a chance that the sweetness is due to the onion I used (shallot--grocery store was out of small yellow onions.) I would definitely make this again.

I *hate* creamy/mayo based dressings, so my options are limited to Oil & Vinegar, Italian dressings. So, I'm always on the hunt for a new way to spice up oil & vinegar. This recipe is perfect! I didn't have the celery salt, and per other suggestions, I omitted the 2 tbsp salt. Thank you for posting it!

I read all the reviews and was excited to try this recipe. Maybe too excited. I followed the instructions exactly, and the result was an odd concoction of tangy and sweet that seemed "off." Granted, I tried them after they cooled for only a few hours, so maybe in a couple days the flavors will mellow and blend better, but for now, I am disappointed.
