I am an Assistant Food & Beverage manager at a very popular local destination: Hershey, PA! I am surrounded by delicious temptations all the time, as we have world class chefs preparing the most delicious chocolate-themed dishes every day. I am proud to live in a town with a legacy as great as Hershey's. We are the best-kept secret and our small town is growing and growing. I proudly volunteer at the Milton Hershey School, where children from underpriveliged families have the opportunity for a state-of-the-art education, all funded by Mr. Hershey's Deed of Trust. I love cooking for them and they particularly love when I bake for them.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking pork and steaks, but I am just starting to venture into the world of baking. My father is an ingenious cook - never classically trained but man is he good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
One day my father will pass onto me his famous Peanut Butter Pie recipe. But for now, I'm sticking with Christmas cookies!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I make a successful meal or dessert it is a triumph for me. I truly thought I was only capable of microwaving, defrosting, and ordering out. But my loving boyfriend brought out a passion in cooking that I never knew I had. Baking my first successful batch of cookies that were made from scratch was one of my proudest moments.
My cooking tragedies
Not trying something new just because the recipe is intimidating. You never know until you try!
