I didn't have semisweet chocolate chips to add, but I really wish I would have went out of my way to get some because I can imagine the impact they would have had! This recipe was wonderful even without them. I made cupcakes and poured ganache made from a recipe on this site and they were a big hit! I never had such moist cupcakes!

This recipe is wonderful! I was making ganache for the first time to go over chocolate cupcakes that I made for a baby shower, and they were an absolute hit! I omitted the rum because there is never alcohol in my house, but it came out really good. I think next time I might tory and experiment with some almond extract.
