I've been a line/prep cook for the past two years, but I truly prefer cooking at home. I live and am part of the campus outreach of a Christian community, and regularly plan meals and cook for 40+ people. I am also a huge music lover, and typical of a twenty-something male, like sports, action movies, and video games.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, grilling, stews and chili, salads. Not much of a baker; I much prefer quick breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
New Years Eve Fondue Party. Can't deny it's cliche awesomeness.
My cooking triumphs
I'm the guy that gets called when a large meal needs to happen within a day. I view that as a triumph in and of itself.
My cooking tragedies
One of the first roasts I did was perfect, a couple hours before dinner. By the time we sat down it was way too dry. Oh, and the night I forgot to put the chicken back in the fridge after I grilled it.
