About this Cook
I work in the Health Care Industry, married to a patient man, mom of 2 beautiful young ladies equally as patient with their mother when it comes to trying and testing new food and new creations.
My favorite things to cook
My latest favorite is trying soup. I also enjoy seafood and grilling (anything).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Having friends and family sitting around the table enjoying good food and good conversation (for the young and old), my friends were always at my parents house for meals. Our family parties were always at my mom and dads home. I hope to have as welcoming a home to my daughters friends as my parents gave to my friends.
My cooking triumphs
I can't think of one specific triumph. Maybe the wild mushroom Risotto I recently made. For some reason I was scared to make it . . . but it turned out perfect. (Maybe it was the wine I was drinking that relaxed me . . .)
My cooking tragedies
Pretty much anything I bake. I'm not much at making cakes, pies and cookies (I keep trying though).

Tortellini Soup II
This was excellent, quick and easy. I found the onion soup mix a tad bit too salty, but it's still a good winter soup. Will definitely make again!

Spinach Tomato Tortellini
This was excellent! I have a very busy life and appreciate any recipe that is quick and easy.I cannot wait to make this for friends. I will say that I probably won't use the heavy cream next time, and just substitute it with milk. It was a little bit too rich.

Slow Cooker Tender and Yummy Round Steak
I found this to be tasty enough, however the meat was tough. Next time I will try stew meat.
