I am married and mom of a 5 year old girl. I don't really know where is my passion for cooking coming from. My parents don't like to cook but enjoy good eats a lot so I guess I got that sense of what a good meal should taste like and started experimenting and learning by myself. I also had the oportunity to live overseas for several years and learn a little of french cuisine with friends. I am a strong believer of "WE ARE WHAT WE EAT" therefore, I am a big fan of healthy cooking. Meals that include a balanced diet using ingredients that contain complex carbohydrates, protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Don't take me wrong, I don't think eating healthy is a series of prohibitions and I don't have a puritanical attitude to life. In fact, I think healthy eating is a pleasure -for the senses as well as the body. Every time my daughter eats the veggies on her plate like they were chocolate mouse and says with excitement "Mom, I love your cooking" Never try new recipes when having friends over for dinner. Okay, there was this occassion in wich I prepared the main dish following a new recipe and I guess something went terrible wrong that the meal was uneatable and our friends had to go home empty stomachs! Fortunatelly they accepeted a second invitation to our place then I used my old "many times tried" recipes and this time they loved it!
