This soup received rave reviews from nearly everyone at my dinner party. I used a combination of sweet and hot italian sausage. The sausage flavoring permeates the whole dish. Even using lower sodium beef broth, we didn't miss anything taste-wise with all of those great flavors. I made most of the soup well ahead of the party and added the zucchini and tortellini at the last minute. Everything was perfectly cooked.
