On Our Honeymoon
About this Cook
I am a happily married mother of 1. I work part time for my son's school district and am a STRONG Army wife. Becoming a mommy and a wife are two of the most important and wonderful things to have ever happened to me! We're planning to add a baby to our family in a year or so but in the meantime enjoy being a family of 3. We love to travel and hope to someday relocate somewhere near the ocean. I'm sick of cold weather!!!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking soups and desserts. I love my crockpots (I have a few!) and anything that I can throw into them for a quick and delish meal. I'm not a big red meat eater and am always looking for something new and exciting to do with seafood - a family fave!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my husband is a romantic tradition we have ;)There's something innately sexy about creating something fantastic with the one you love! I love baking and decorating Christmas cookies every year with my son and husband. I also enjoy hosting holiday meals and would host EVERY holiday EVERY year if I'd be allowed.
My cooking triumphs
My favorite cooking moment was when I made home made chicken tenders for my hubster shortly after we were married. He said, "I didn't know people actually MADE chicken tenders at home! I thought they only came out of a bag!"
My cooking tragedies
I recently tried to make white gravy from scratch... I'll be sticking to the packets of pre-made gravy from now on!

Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo
IMO, not enough sauce to go with the amount of pasta that the recipe called for. It was also a bit bland. Next time I'm going to use some garlic, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and a cup of milk. It was good - just needs some tweeking. Thanks.

Chicken Enchilada Dip
This is very tasty and very easy to add to. We like black beans and black olives in ours just to give it something extra.
