I was born and grew up in South Africa and lived in Switzerland for 25 years. I jokingly call myself a "Swisscan" because that is my second home. I am not a professional cook but just simply enjoy cooking. I love to collect recipes and try new ideas.

My cooking triumphs
I make a pretty good Meat and Tomato Sauce Lasagna. I also have been told that my Mashed Potatoes are the best.
My cooking tragedies
With proud I prepared what was my grandmothers Meatloaf recipe for a family get together. After seeing the guest disgusted look on their faces I tried a piece and thought I just bit into a salt pot. We ended up going out for dinner and until today nobody in my family has forgotten that get together.
