I just recently graduated college with a B.S in Food Science and Nutrition. NO, I am not a food scientist nor an expert in food (would love to be) but rather a degree nutritionist. I just recently moved to South Korea but dearly miss California and can't wait to go back. I do have to say that while persuing my degree, I did learn a lot about food and cooking which has lead me to my new passion, FOOD!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! For me baking is so relaxing whenever I'm upset, I just start baking and that immediately calms me down. Lately I've been baking alot of bread, and it's lots of fun!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being mexican and loving carbs can only equal to one thing.....TORTILLAS! but not just any tortillas ( I am very picky with this quick bread) they have to be my mom's, she makes the best flour and corn tortillas.
My cooking triumphs
hmmmm.....It has to be enchiladas, I can make almost any type of enchiladas and they come out fantastic!
My cooking tragedies
I've had plenty! but I don't see them as tragedies but as learning experiences, I mean how are you able to learn if you don't make mistakes, right?
