My favorite things to cook
Breads (sourdough, walnut, banana); Spinach & 4 cheese Lasagne; Black bean Enchiladas; Grilled Mackrell & Colcannon; Ciopinno; various fruit pies and crumbles. Hearty, warming food that you wouldn't eat everyday for fear of an expanding waistline, but would if you could get away with it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Welsh cakes at Christmases in California, Mom's blonde chili in the Autumn and Early Spring months.
My cooking triumphs
Famous apple & cranberry double crust pie and my summertime lemon squares that I used to make with myer lemons (back when I lived in a climate that afforded me a lemon tree)!
My cooking tragedies
A disastrous creme brulee that I accidentally made with salt instead of sugar -I forgot to label my food cannisters! Lesson learned.
