About this Cook
I am a wife of 15 years & started cooking right after we were married. My older sister, taught me the basics, when I was a teenager. She taught me a lot of Mexican dishes. My specialty was breakfast in the early years of marriage. I would amaze my husband with biscits & gravy, eggs, potatoes, sausage, the works! As we have gotten older, I cook lighter breakfasts and consentrate on dinners more. I have discovered cookbooks, and bascily try new recipes for dinner that my hubby & two boys desire. I let them pick out the meals that they like often. My whole goal is to please the three guys God has blessed me with! So I choose homemade, country style dinners with basic ingredients they love in hopes they will remember as "Mom's homemade cooking".
My favorite things to cook
Italian, Mexican and "home style country", cooking. Also casseroles, like macaroni & cheese, tator tot casserole, my boys love them!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Menudo & Tamales at Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Following a recipe perfectly & my family loving the end result.

Baked Dijon Salmon
I followed this recipe exactly. My husband loved it. My kids & I did not. My son & I came to the conclusion, there was to much ingredents on top, which hid the taste of the salmon. We especially did not like the honey (too sweet tasting for fish) and the pecans were way "to much". Although my husband liked it. I don't think I will make it again.
