Texas Caviar with Avocado

Festive Crab Cakes

Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti

This was my first time making biscotti and it turned out wonderful. Great with a cup of hot tea. I think this recipe has a lot of potential for trying other combinations, cranberry and pistachio anyone?

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

This was super easy to make and very good. Everyone loved it. I added onion to the mixture, next time I may add some green chilies, but really good just as it is written.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Used this on my favorite sugar cookie recipe and they turned out beautiful. From now on this will be the icing recipe that i use. I had to thin a bit more to make the icing spreadable. These dried fast to a great glossy shine! I doubled the amount of flavoring and it had a great flavor.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

These were great, they are my go to peanut butter cookie now. I took other reviewers suggestions and increased both the peanut butter and flour. I rolled these in granulated sugar before marking with a fork.

Sweet Corn Bread

I tried this for our "traditional" Halloween dinner of Chili, cornbread and pumpkin pie. It got two thumbs up from the whole family. I doubled the recipe and added a can of creamed corn, and a generous squeeze of honey. Yummy!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

I made this recipe as written except that I mashed the bananas and used pecans instead of walnuts (a personal preference). It is absolutely wonderful! My whole family loved it. It will be my go to banana bread recipe from now on.

My family loved this recipe. I made the recipe as written except I added nuts and raisin, a family preference. The only complaint is that it got a bit too done on the outside before the middle was done.

Picante Chicken

Had this tonight, and I took one other reviewers' suggestion and shredded the chicken and served with taco fixings. Wow we loved it, my husband wanted to know what was in the sauce, said the spices were perfect, he didn't know it was his favorite chunky salsa! Will make again often!

This was good on a chilly fall night. Served it with shredded cheese, sour cream and cornbread. Could use a bit more spice, next time will add a little cayenne pepper for a little kick.

My family really didn't care for this dish all that much, although we love most of the ingredients that go into it. It was just OK. With as much fat as it calls for,probably will not make this again, not worth the splurge.

Connie's Zucchini 'Crab' Cakes

My husband and son really liked this recipe. I squeezed out the water from the zucchini before and had no trouble keeping the patties together. I'm not crazy about crab cakes, so these were just o.k. for me. Will make again for the family.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

I made this for all the chocolate lovers at a family gathering, but we had a lot left (to be fair there were several deserts, that's why I still give it 4 stars). It is very chocolaty-way too much for me, but I don't care for chocolate-the true chocolate lovers loved it.
