About this Cook
I'm the youngest of my family (24yo). For years, my mom's always made her families secret Italian dishes when my brothers and sisters lived w/ us. And now that its just me and her, its Hamburger Helper every night. So I've decided to learn new recipes and get over our cheap American food!
My favorite things to cook
Mexican, Asian, Italian and American.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm pretty sure w/ everyone else, Thanksgiving is my favorite. Not only does my entire family (moms side) get together, its 4 tables of anything you can eat. Also St. Patricks Day is a biggy on my dad's side (they hail from Mullingar, Westmeath) and I like trying new ways to make corn beef. Also Cinco de Mayo, my boyfriends parents make a mean carne asada =]

Prego(R) Porcupine Meatballs
Tasted great. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to cook the rice or what, but I did so next time I might use crumbs instead, the rice made the meat fall apart. I won't cook it w/ the sauce either, seemed like it took FOREVER to cook thoroughly.
