About this Cook
I am 30 yrs old and married to the man of my dreams. We have been together for 12 years, married for 5 and we have a 3yr old daughter, 1 1/2 yr old son and another daughter on the way this december. I have been baking since before I can remember with my mother and then when my parents divorced I started cooking dinners and such for my father and sister. I love, love, love to cook and bake!!
My favorite things to cook
Montreal style bagels, cinnimon buns, any type of bread or quick bread, lasagna, ribs...pretty much anything really.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have been making Christmas dinner since I was 12 and have only gotten better. It is a big deal to me and we usually have 20 or more people. I do it up big with Turkey, stuffing (home made of course), cauliflower and cheese casserole, braised carrots and parsnips, stuffed mushrooms, mashed potatos with gravy, etc... inclucing home made rolls and dessert.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to make amazing bread...this took some time to master and I almost gave up. Bread can be a hard thing to learn.
My cooking tragedies
Like any avid cook, there are too many to remember.

Gourmet Caramel Apples
Wonderful, got rave reviews. I rolled in mini M&M's and mini colored chocolate chips, however these don't look very neat. Next time I am going to roll in skor bits or salted crushed peanuts.

Sweet Dinner Rolls
Didn't work out very well for me but it could be due to my own mistakes rather than the recipe. I don't usually have trouble with bread. It tasted good but wasn't fluffy enough for me.
