I ate alot of Schnitzel, red cabbage, spaetzle, Sauerbraten, and apple strudel. Wish I would of learned her cooking secrets...
My favorite things to cook
anything,EXCEPT TOFO
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving...
My cooking triumphs
Apple Brine Turkey, at Thanksgiving...great recipe I found from a gas grill newsletter...(Weber) been using this recipe for 6yrs now..so easy, so delicious and moist..using the grill free's up our limited space and oven and cook top for other dishes.
My cooking tragedies
Gravy at Thanksgiving...using the dripping from a BRINE turkey..gravy was nothing but SALT...guess I shouldn't been sipping wine while cooking that day...

Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches
This is the sandwiche my mom made for us as kids. usually using leftover holiday ham. She froze the extras. We'd ask for "those sandwiches" and the name stuck. I'm gonna make this tonight for my wife with some tomatoe soup..
