About this Cook
College student who loves to cook, but doesn't have a whole lot of time to do so.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make coconut balls every year around Christmas. They are so yummy, they go fast!
My cooking triumphs
Still learning.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to cook ground beef in the microwave once. I ended up with basically a huge, dry, burger pattie.

German Marble Cake
I make this recipe all the time with a few changes. I tend to add more cocoa and almond extract, and use less sugar. The cake is dry for Americans, but German cakes tend to be drier and more like a sweet bread than like American cakes. I also only bake mine for 50 minutes which helps it not dry out as much.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls
I've always been told that cinnamon rolls are really hard to make. These cinnamon rolls were easy! They taste great and have a bit more of a real food kind of feel instead of dessert. I can eat one and actually feel satisfied (but who eats just one after smelling them bake!) Definitely something to try, even if you have never made cinnamon rolls from scratch before.

Blueberry Waffles with Fast Blueberry Sauce
These waffles were REALLY good. I didn't measure the blueberries, just added a big handful, and this made this excellent! There were way more than enough for 3 people, so I stuck the rest in a ziploc bag to munch on during class, they're a really good slightly sweet snack! The sauce was also super yummy!
