About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Soups, salads, pasta dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking for my family and friends!
My cooking triumphs
I love to figure out the ingredients of my favourite restaurant dishes and then learn how to make it at home, cheaper and tastier!
My cooking tragedies
I used to burn rice a lot when I first learned to cook. I also had a number of cookie tragedies and couldn't figure out why until I realized I wasn't supposed to melt the butter first but just soften it!

Greek Lemon Chicken Soup
As written, this soup is very very very salty! However, I think it will be just right if I cut down on the chicken soup base and lemon juice!

Almond Maple Granola
I made this recipe as written with the one exception of using ground flax seed instead of wheat germ. It is fantastic as written. I didn't find the amount of coconut, brown sugar, or maple syrup too sweet. I didn't find the amount of oil excessive. However, I will give different variations of this recipe a try, such as the addition of cinnamon & vanilla, as well as the substitution of other dried fruit, such as dried cherries, instead of the raisins. Thanks for the awesome recipe! P.S. This was my first time making granola and this recipe was very easy to make!

Bearnaise Sauce II
I love Bearnaise Sauce and I was so happy to find this recipe. I do cut down on the vinegar & the lemon because I find the sauce a bit overpowering as written. It's quick & easy. Try it! Thanks for the recipe!
