Oatmeal Blueberry Muffins
These were very easy to make (one bowl) and turned out light and fluffy, even with a little whole wheat flour thrown in. I used one heaping cup of frozen blueberries, and it was plenty.

Red Cabbage
This was delicious hot or cold the second day, and even better the third day. The first night I found it too vinegary and crisp. Maybe I needed a longer cook time? I added extra sugar and bay leaves.

Mama D's Italian Bread
This bread has great texture, and my dad said it tastes like what his grandmother used to make. I just knead the dough on a floured table to take care of the stickiness. I spray the crust with water before placing in the oven, and bake with a pan of water in the oven. I have made it three times, the last time with whole wheat flour, and it came out fine (though flatter) that way too. My first successful yeast bread.. easy for a beginner.
