Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Made a few adjustments: Less cream sauce, and pureed half of the corn in a blender along with 1/4 cup sauce, and seemed to turn out real nice. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

A very tasty, yet simple easy to put together. I followed some of the other suggestion, some brown sugar and spice, and it worked very well. Thanks for the great recipe!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Very, very good recipe. Used a crust from a vinegar pie recipe, and paired extraordinarily well. Will probably use this again. Great lemon curd to this.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
I'm giving it five stars because all my family raved and raved about it at a family gathering. I personally would give it 4 stars due to some other concerns expressed here, and one of my own: The cake itself is a tad sweet and a little on the creamy side. My personal concern is the texture. I think 2 cups of white chocolate chips melted gives it a slightly weird texture. I liked the other reviewers' suggestion to cut it to 1 cup; I'm thinking I might do that if I can next time. Also maybe a little flour would help. Otherwise, this is an incredible, and easy, recipe to make.

Lemon Meringue Pie III

Tasted nice, and easy to make. Minor complaints: Could use more meringue topping, and was hoping the fillng would set more. But otherwise, incredible recipe!

Peanut Butter Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
This is an excellent recipe. I only have one small complaint: It is rich. I found myself wishing it was just a little lighter and fluffier. If you serve it with coffee and haven't had sweets in a while, it would be perfect. Just a tad heavy and rich. Maybe 1/4 the peanut butter and add more whipped cream to the mix to fix.

Vichyssoise

My mom and I loved it. Very savory and delicious. I agree that adding the extra toppings and maybe substituting half and half would enhance the flavor even more.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
I searched for recipes for devilled eggs after following a recipe for them on the back of a dry mustard jar, which turned out horrible (ugh!) It was such a relief to find and try this recipe, which turned out infinitely better! Very yummy and good. I've made three batches so far, the last of which I took to a family New Year's gathering, and my family all enjoyed them as well. The only modification I made was to take out the salt, and maybe use a tad less sugar if using a sweet mayonnaise, like Miracle Whip. Thanks for the great recipe!
