I am 26 years old. I have a passion that deals with food, health, and wellness. I am in college for a BA- FACS with a concentration in Nutrition & Food Management Systems. I enjoy entertaining if I could really get a chance. The only person I entertain is my husband! Though I do cook for others a lot of the time. I enjoy sometimes just reading in all my different cookbooks when I'm not doing anything. I like experimenting and trying new foods...I like to bake as well, I'm still learning, can't wait to take my culinary class in college on pastries and baking. I enjoy most of everything as long as I can get that ingredient it calls for! I always remember eating my mom's chicken and dumplings with butter and cornbread! I also enjoy these few favorites: red beans,sausage, and rice, buttered potatoes, candied yams, candied squash, and good ole fashioned Gumbo and rice! I won second place at my job( I work for the state of Louisiana Health & Hospitals) in a cook off contest. I should have won first but I was happy to place because we had so many entries. I also cook for various occasions for employees where I work. Everyone there calls me the "Expert Chef" Haha! I wish! Trying to make low carb bread! It was so nasty!
