About this Cook
Dietitian who is looking to cook a little more.
My favorite things to cook
Everything! Love to eat too!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making cookies at christmas time.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for a hospital here in Murfreesboro. Loved to see the reaction of how people enjoy your food.
My cooking tragedies
Not mine, but one of my friends thought to boil her contact lens in one of my pots. She forgot about them until we could smell the aroma of melted plastic. Moral of the story, don't forget your contact lens in boiling water. =D

Beer-Boiled Shrimp
Very very good recipe! Added garlic powder and black pepper to onion butter mixture. Omitted the salt, and using half the amount of butter (no salt added butter too). Added Old Bay to the shrimp and threw in a Bay leaf for good measure. (Dunk bread into the juices, you will not be disappointed, my hubby was not.) I am freezing the leftover juice for a later adventure. Thank you so much for the recipe! Very good without my additions as well.

Black Beans, Corn, and Yellow Rice
Definately use Zatarain's yellow rice mix! The seasonings in the mix is what this dish needed. Follow the box directions; heat corn and black beans while rice is cooking. I put the cumin in with the corn and black beans. Mix together. I served this as a side with fish tacos. So delicious!!!

Anaheim Fish Tacos
I would not put the fish in the broth mixture. This made the fish very soggy. The peppers were delicious, but the fish was inedible.
