Ever since I began to use AllRecipes, it has really bothered me that people will make several changes to the recipe and then give the results a bad review. If somebody gives me directions to their house and I decide to make a left hand turn instead of
a right hand turn, I don't complain…
MORE
I started doing all the family cooking in the late '90s. Other than a few classes I'm self-taught and try to learn more every day.
My favorite things to cook
Just about anything. I don't think I've ever followed a recipe 100%. I like to add my own twist and flavors to everything I cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandfather was a chef, so I guess I take after him. Our family tradition has always been to sit down a have a home-cooked meal every day.
My cooking triumphs
My family and friends say I make the best pulled pork bbq this side of Alabama, but any time I cook for the extended family and everyone eats and no one gets sick and dies, it's a triumph!
My cooking tragedies
All of my tragedies are the same - occasionally overcooking things such as beef tenderloin and fresh fish. Expensive mistakes!
