About this Cook
I'm in college getting my second undergrad degree in Family and Consumer Science. I love all that the major covers from cooking, sewing, interior design, child development, nutrition, fashion, and much more. Right now I'm trying to build my own recipe file of tried and true recipes that rock the charts.
My favorite things to cook
I like making up my own creations and versions of recipes using whatever I have on hand. I like making desserts, pasta dishes, dips, and lots of other things too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom makes the best homemade bread, only she doesn't make it anymore--why is that? I've got to get her to pass her technique to me sometime.
My cooking triumphs
I'm taking a cooking class right now and I love it! So far I've made eggplant parmesean, coconut mound balls, a cake, and cranberry scones with orange frosting--everything has turned out great! Some other things I've made in the past that were good were hot spinach artichoke dip and tuna cassarole (both recipies from this site.)
My cooking tragedies
Well, hmm... I've made some pretty tragic cookies. (the oven has problems) There was this one cookie, I think I tried substituting cocoa for chocolate or something--it tasted horrible. No one would touch them so we threw them out.

Tuna Casserole II
Big hit! I had most of the things on hand, which was nice. I put crumbled potato chips on top, and used broccoli instead of zucchini. Loved it!
