I find cooking very relaxing after a hectic day and love to try new recipes. I love to surprise my husband with new recipes and to cook for my ever-growing extended family.
My favorite things to cook
I'm a Jewish girl who loves to cook Italian food. I'm also always looking for good slow cooker recipes for those days I don't have time to cook after work. My favorite slow cooker recipe of all time involves a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and a 4 pound beef roast. Yummy and super easy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Anytime I spend with family revolves around food...feeding people is our way of saying I love you! Thanksgiving with my Grandmother was an all night affair making the stuffing mix and baking pie after pie. I also remember many a night spent eating potatoe latkes fresh out of the skillet smothered in sour cream and apple sauce.
My cooking triumphs
After many months and pound after pound of marscapone cheese, I have perfected my tiramisu. I also managed to pretty closely match my Grandmother's apple pie...not quite but almost.
My cooking tragedies
Oh the things I have accidentally set on fire...jalapeno poppers in the toaster oven, pizza in the regular oven, and french toast on the stove top. Thank God for fire extinguishers and a quick husband.
