About this Cook
I have been seriously cooking- actually making things from scratch- for about 8 months now. Of course, school has interfered with my cooking but I make meals as often possible. My dream is to go to the CIA, and become a nationaly known chef... not like it's likely to happen, but... I'll keep wishing!
My favorite things to cook
I am a total health nut; almost everything that I make is either healthy or I alter to make as healthy as possible. So, that being said, I like cooking almost anything healthy. I'd have to say, though, that I am currently addicted to chopping green beans and carrots. So much fun! I think there are so many things I enjoy about cooking that it would be insanely hard to pick a single genre as a favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Really the only "tradtion" that I have is my mom and I are vegetarians. We have been so for about four years, and I think it is a lot of fun seeing how so many dishes can be turned into or created as vegetarian dishes. Becoming vegetarian has opened up so many horizons!

Spicy Indian Dahl
This soup was spicy, but otherwise flavorless. Another review said it was like the Cosmic Cafe'sbut I beg to differ. I would give this one star, but my mom said it was OK, and it is fairly healthy. Not worth the trouble... sorry.

Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Ice Pops
I made these with strawberries and bananas. They seemed to turn out very good- and they are a very healthy sweet-tooth satisfyer. I love the creamy texture- and appearently my mom does too, because she eats atleast one a day!

Quick Breakfast in a Pita
We made this as is, except added another egg for 1 1/2 per person. Well, I have to say that I was blown away! Not that this recipe is all that complex, but the idea is so gooooood. Don't know why, it just seemed to sit well with me. Very well! Oh, and make sure to let the potatoes get nice and brown- that seemed to add a lot of flavor.
