BBQ Bacon Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
made EXACTLY as written... Took to a party, turned around to get some more and it was gone! I wasn't so sure about the combo but YUMMY... even my hubby (who hates bbq anything) loved it! Thanks for a great recipe and something different than my "go to things"

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
I used 1 1/2 lbs hamburger and frozen diced potatoes. Followed rest of recipe. I did my veggies and hamburger then threw in the crock pot with frozen hash browns on my lunch hour. I cooked the butter, flour and milk and added to crock pot with the cheese. My family really enjoyed this soup. Very filling. We changed it up just a bit with a garnish of crumbled bacon, making it bacon cheeseburger soup. Will make again for sure

Fish Fillets Italiano

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I used blue hake fish from Schwans. My only addition was a can of mushrooms and I used chicken broth since I don't have any wine. Served over angel hair pasta since we had rice the night before. Will make again for sure!

Simple Carnitas

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
This was on my menu for new recipe night and is now going into my favorites! The only thing I did different was, after I shredded the meat I placed in a skillet with a bit of oil to "crisp" up some of the meat. I then added some of the broth back to the meat to keep it moist. Served with Mexican Rice II and fresh guac. This is a keeper!

Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
After looking for a way to fix cod, this recipe was suggested to me. The cod was the only substitute I made and had nothing leftover. I think this is a great dish for kids, a nice way to get them to eat fish.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
The only change I made... was I used boneless, skinless breasts and didn't make them on skeweres. These are really delicious. No changes needed in anything~make as is.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I let the chops sit in the marinade for about 45 minutes and then put all into a baking dish fit with a lid. I baked a bit longer because I had America's cut chops. Very good and my 4 year old loved them.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
we really enjoyed this dish with a few modifications from the reviews. You do need to cook biscuits longer than 30 minutes especially when using Grands. I also added some chopped celery and carrots and used chicken broth instead of water. Amazing how much it tasted "like mom use to make" We will eat this again.

I make these all the time except I pour a small can of crushed pineapple over them as they are baking! Delicious

Cabbage and Smoked Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
I did the onions, carrots and celery in a small pan while I mixed the beans, stock, tomatoes and sauce in my crock pot. I used canned chicken stock instead of water and cubes. Then I added little smokies (which is also a pound) to the pan to sort of brown them up. I deglazed the pan with some of the chicken stock right into the crock pot. I added cabbabe about an hour before serving. Delicious! Will make again
