My real name is Lynn...my girls call me Gingie...it's a silly story but Gingie is my favorite character in the movie Shreck and I have a lot of gingerbread crafty items I display in my home at the holidays. So they took it and ran with it and after living for 47 years without a nickname I have now acquired the nickname Gingie. Chicken recipes, and Desserts are my favorite things to make. We have an excellent homemade spiked eggnog recipe that was my mothers. I make it every year at my Christmas get-together with our family. There are a few other traditions we have at Christmas also. Every year I say I'm going to scale down our Christmas cookie production, but my daughters have a fit and even now that my oldest daughter has her own place and lives almost two hours away she still comes home and we all make them together! It was my mother-in laws fault because she moved up the time of her dinner and neglected to tell me about it until that morning!
