I am a full-time mom and wife. I am 33 years old and my passion, other than cooking, is karaoke. My friends and I like to host dinners at eachother's homes then head off to karaoke! It's a blast!! I am very good at southern food. My hero is Paula Deen. I also love to cook mexican food. My grandmother was from Mexico and I learned a lot from her and my mother. I think one of the family cooking traditions is making home made spanish rice. I learned from my mom, who learned from hers. And I will pass it along to my girls! I needed to find a way to get my family (red meat lovers) to eat chicken and pork. After a few blunders, I perfected my recipe for brown sugar pork chops. They are a sweet n sour pork chop that my family loves! At least once a week I burn or cut myself while cooking. There are so many tragedies that I can't pick just one. But, without those tragedies, I would still be cooking frozen pizzas and Top Ramen noodles!
