I am the mother of 5 kids and have been married for almost 19 years. I love easy but yummy cooking. Im a slow cooker addict cuz dinner is cooking before I even have to worry about it.
My favorite things to cook
I love Mexican food. I could eat gooey cheesy stuff 7 nights a week.
My favorite family cooking traditions
This is going to sound silly, but for Christmas Eve we dont have the fancy turkey or ham dinner. We have "toastwiches". Otherwise known as grilled cheese with bologna or salami added. With it we have peaches, chips and dip, and egg nog with sprite. We figure it was something easy for my Grandma to prepare the night before the big day. It has stuck and become something we are proud to tell.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph is that I am able to cook a variety of recipes that continuously please my 5 kids.
My cooking tragedies
In the first years of marriage while trying my hand at new recipes, I made a tator tot casserole that called for evaporated milk...I didnt think at that point there was any difference between that and sweetened condensed milk so I used that instead. I now know there is a HUGE difference.
