About this Cook
I live in my mother's family homestead, built in 1867. I have lived here my entire life. My mother was a great cook and I learned from her and have many of her original recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I love just good old fashioned home cooking using fresh produce from my garden and fresh herbs & spices. I usually cook, fish (all types), chicken, seafoods, as well as a variety of beef.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking using family recipes and fresh foods and veggies right out of my gardens. I enjoy the kind of food you would find at a family reunion or picnic...good old comfort food.
My cooking triumphs
My summertime cooking classes at our local Famer's Market. Great cooking, great friends, great eating...healthy and good for you!
My cooking tragedies
Some recipes not turning out like I thought they would...but only I would know that.=)
