As a young girl, I was a 4-H member. Cooking was my field and I've won a number of blue ribbions in desserts (cookies, quick and yeast breads, pies and canning) Then in 1991, I moved to Japan where I helped work with my husband's family in a Japanese inn. There I learned to cook Japanese foods. Also inbetween my time in Japan, I traveled to asian countries where I frequently make the time to take one or two cooking lessons, leaning asian foods. I love to cook spicy Asian dishes and desserts.
