My Coffee and I
About this Cook
I'm a university student studying the wonderful world of photography - with very little time to spare! But I'm hoping that with a little work and enthusiasm, my skills in the kitchen will make my mother proud!
My favorite things to cook
So far? I'm not sure. I haven't been cooking for long without the help of my mother, but I really adore baking cookies, brownies, cakes, and those sorts of things! Pasta's pretty fun too though.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mother and I make Christmas cookies together every year. I look forward to it a lot. Especially now that I'm older and I get to pick some of the recipes!
My cooking triumphs
I made my first successful batch of Christmas cookies this year by myself - And they were a great hit! That recipe will definitely go in my notebook.
My cooking tragedies
I...have burned water before. I burn a great many things, but I'm getting better.

Chicken, Feta Cheese, and Sun-Dried Tomato Wraps
So good! I actually cooked the chicken in a pan over the stove without getting rid of the dressing that was marinading it. It was very good! And definitely a good dish to make, even if you don't have a grill.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia
Very yummy! I think I might increase the lemon and the garlic next time, as well as saute the garlic. But it's a great base recipe for a classic idea!

Basil Tomato Soup
SO good! I too decided to cut the butter in half, and then I used half&half and milk instead of whipping cream to make it healthier for myself. Still perfectly delicious, especially when you add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder. Num! I'll definitely make this again.
