My cooking tragedies
I made a cake for my Mom's birthday when I was around 12 years old. It called for butter but I used crisco instead (since we didn't have any butter in the house) I believe it was a orange cake with lemon frosting, and it weighed a ton.

Oil Pie Crust
After chilling , the dough was hard, and tough to work with. Maybe a little more water would've helped.

Old Fashioned Lemon Pie
I should have read the reviews first. The pie was horrid, it didn't thicken, and the merang....forget it. It didn't lift, or thicken nothing. I suggest you find a different recipe.
