I was born in Campbellton NB March 18, 1948. After high school I went to Montreal looking for employment. I married Heather Underhill and we had two children, Shawn and Melanie. I worked in Creative Graphics at several companies in Montreal for thirty seven years until I retired from The Gazette newspaper in 2004. After retiring I moved to the cottage in McLeods NB. I winterized the cottage and it is now my permanent residence.

My favorite things to cook are steaks, fish, chicken and stir frys.

One of my favorite family cooking traditions is the annual smelt fry for my friend Nelson's birthday.
My cooking triumphs
This past New Year's Eve we cooked a Prime Rib Roast supper for ninety five people.
My cooking tragedies
Heather and I were just married and I tried to make a breakfast for us and visiting guests. Heather's great aunt Emma and her husband we're staying with us for a few days. I had no idea what temperature to fry the eggs at. I had the pan red hot and dropped two eggs in and needless to say my eggs were like plastic in 20 seconds. Later that day aunt Emma went out and bought me a cookbook.
