My professional career is limited to 7 years working for a small bakery chain in Michigan. My cooking skills however come from my mother. I have continued to learn by observation and my travels throughout the world. Peasant foods from all over the world are among my favorite things to cook! The most flavorful food comes from the poorest people the world over. Christmas cookies, candies, and desserts for the holiday meals, are among my favorite things to make. I also like to cook for my family anytime they are hungry. I once catered a golf outing for 300 people. We delivered over 750 hot sandwiches during play, right onto the golf course! We finished up with dinner after the tournament serving 50# fire frilled chicken breast and 180 or so made to order New York strips, without any complaints! Of course all the sides one could imagine, and oh yeah, about 60 cases of beer to wash it all down! Too many to mention. That is what makes you a good cook, practice, and learning from your mistakes.
