i followed some of the suggestions and doubled the cinammon and nutmeg (not the clove) and cranberries, and used the sweet bread setting. FINALLY i got a loaf from my machine that's actually GOOD! glad i tried this recipe because i was starting to give up on bread making.

hmm.. maybe my own misunderstanding but i thought it would be creamier.. or maybe i did something not quite right. it tastes good (i also left out the orange) but it's not very creamy.

Pasta with Grilled Shrimp and Pineapple Salsa

good but way too much onion unless i just happened to get a really strong one. the rest of the salsa was fantastic once you get past the overpowering onion.

Orange Banana Smoothie

i used this as a guide but i left out the milk, salt and sugar and one of the oranges. all i really had was one banana, one orange and a single-serve container of lite yogurt with a few ice cubes. worked out perfect for one serving.

Easy Spiced Brown Rice With Corn

it seemed a little too bland to be called "spiced" but it was still good. i did it in my rice maker and pulled back the water by 1/3. next time i'm going to try to add a bit more spice to jazz it up even more... even tho i enjoyed it as it was.

Baked Sweet Potatoes

i always thought sweet potatoes were sweet because of the brown sugar and butter they usually came dripping with, but this was a delightful surprise at how good and sweet these still were with just a hint of salty side flavor
